Terms of service
These terms govern your use of VisaLens. By creating an account you agree to them.
Not yet complete. Section 11 needs the operating company’s legal name, registered address, governing law and dispute forum before this service is offered to the public. A qualified lawyer in that jurisdiction should review the whole document, and in particular sections 2, 5 and 9.
1. What VisaLens is
VisaLens is a document preparation and self-check tool. It reads the documents you upload, reports what is in them, compares them against published requirements for the route you tell us you are on, points out where your own documents disagree with each other, helps you write the documents you are entitled to write yourself, and runs practice interviews.
You are the applicant, the author of every document, and the person who decides what to do. VisaLens shows you facts and sources. The decisions are yours.
2. What VisaLens is not, and will not do
VisaLens is not a law firm, not a regulated immigration adviser or consultant, and not an agent of any government. In the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and other countries, advising on a person’s immigration position without a licence is a regulated activity and in places a criminal offence. Nothing in this service is offered as immigration advice.
The service is built to refuse, and will not:
- Recommend or choose a visa route or category for you.
- Tell you whether you are eligible for anything.
- Predict, score, estimate or guarantee the outcome of an application.
- Advise on an appeal, an administrative review, a judicial review, or how to challenge a refusal.
- Advise on a removal, deportation or overstay history, an asylum or humanitarian claim, a criminal record, an inadmissibility finding or a misrepresentation finding.
Where you ask for any of these, the service will say so plainly and point you at your regulator’s own public register of licensed advisers. For a binding opinion on your circumstances, consult a regulated immigration adviser or a qualified lawyer.
VisaLens does not submit applications and does not receive decisions. You submit your own application through the official channel, and any outcome recorded in the product is one you entered yourself.
3. The output is machine-generated
Findings, scores, drafted text and interview feedback are produced by automated systems. They can be wrong, they can miss things, and they can flag things that turn out to be fine. Requirements and fees change without notice. Always confirm anything you rely on against the authority’s own published page, which the product links from every requirement it states.
The readiness score measures how complete and internally consistent your document set is against published requirements. It is not a prediction of any decision and must not be read as one.
4. Your account
You are responsible for what happens under your login. Keep your password to yourself, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has it. An individual purchase covers the applications it grants; the multi-application and professional products are the way to prepare files for other people.
When you create your first application you are asked to confirm that you understand what VisaLens is and is not. We record that confirmation with a timestamp and the version of the wording you saw.
5. What you upload, and what we will not produce
You keep ownership of everything you upload. You grant us only the licence needed to store your files, extract their text, send that text to our analysis provider, and show you the results.
You must not upload:
- Documents you do not have the right to hold or share.
- Forged, altered or fraudulently obtained documents, or documents belonging to someone who has not asked you to act for them.
- Malware, or content that is unlawful where you are.
VisaLens will not help you put anything untrue in front of a government. It will not invent a figure, date, employer, institution, relationship or reference number; it will not overstate funds, backdate a document, or describe ties that do not exist; and it will not generate a record that another organisation has to issue, including bank statements, payslips, employment letters written as the employer, admission or enrolment letters, tax documents, insurance certificates, police clearances, medical certificates or test results. Where a fact is missing from your file it is marked as a blank for you to fill, not guessed.
Documents the service drafts are ones you are entitled to author in your own name. A sponsor letter or invitation letter is a draft for the person who signs it: that person must read it, satisfy themselves that every word is true of them, change what is not, and sign it themselves.
A misrepresentation finding by an immigration authority commonly carries a ban measured in years. We may suspend an account we reasonably believe is being used to prepare a fraudulent application.
6. Payment
VisaLens is sold per application, as a one-time payment. There is no subscription, nothing renews, and there is nothing to cancel. A purchase opens access to the application slots it grants for 90 days from the date you claim each slot.
Payment is taken by Stripe or, in some regions, by Paystack. Card details are entered with them and never reach our servers. Prices are shown in your own currency at the tier that applies to your region before you pay.
When access to an application ends, nothing is deleted. Your documents, letters and findings remain readable and exportable. What stops is new work: fresh analysis, new drafts and interview practice. Renewing reopens the same application where you left it.
If we refund a purchase, the access it granted is withdrawn at the same time.
7. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to break, overload or reverse engineer the service, do not scrape it, and do not resell its output as your own advisory product without a written agreement with us. Do not present output from VisaLens to anyone as regulated immigration advice.
8. Availability
We aim to keep the service running but do not promise uninterrupted access. Analysis depends on a third-party model provider, and if it is unavailable, analysis will be too. Where the core analysis was unavailable for a sustained period inside your access window, contact us and we will extend the window or refund it.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for a refused application, a missed deadline, travel costs, tuition deposits, application or biometric fees, or any other loss arising from a decision by an immigration authority or from your own decision about how to prepare or submit your application.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
10. Ending the agreement
You can ask us to close your account and erase your data at any time by writing to privacy@visalens.app. We action deletion requests within one month. Individual documents and whole applications can be deleted from inside the product at any time, which removes the stored file and its extracted text together.
We may end the agreement on notice, or immediately for a serious breach of section 5 or 7.
11. Governing law and the operating entity
To be completed with the operating company’s legal name, registered address, governing law and dispute forum before launch.
12. Changes
We will post material changes here and notify account holders by email before they take effect. The date at the top of this page is the date of the last change.
